So this is a recipe of a much loved favourite by Friends and Family. A few times Mum was asked to make a batch, because friends had let others try it and they had loved it too.
Ingredients
- 225g – Rich Tea or Digestive biscuits
- 115g – Butter or Margarine
- 115g – Raisins, Glacier Cherries or Mixed Fruit
- 20g – Granulated Sugar
- 45g – Drinking Chocolate
- 45g – Golden Syrup
- 120g – Dark or Cooking Chocolate
Method
- Crush up Biscuits in a bag with rolling pin.
- Add Syrup, Butter, Sugar and Drinking Chocolate into a heavy bottom pan until just melt.
- Once melted Gently add the crushed biscuits and raisins or mixed fruit and stir together. Evenly coating all the ingredients.
- Empty into a lined tin or tray, then press gently.
- Chill in the fridge for an hour.
- Melt some chocolate in the microwave, until just melted. About 1 minute in an 800w microwave.
- Pour over the cooled Tiffin. Spread quickly into a thin even coating.
- Allow to Cool in the Fridge until Chocolate is set and hardened.
- Cut into 10-12 squares.
